Dermatology

Dermatology is the medical field primarily concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases concerning the skin, hair and nails. It involves cancers, diseases, and cosmetic and ageing conditions of the skin, hair, and nails. Treatments are both topical and complete, including medications, surgery and therapy. A dermatologist is a medical specialist for all of these issues.

The skin, hair and nails of the human body are the most visible and vulnerable to both external and internal factors. They reflect the health of the body and are a protective barrier for the internal system. Common dermatological issues are:

  • Acne
  • Fungal infections
  • Eczema
  • Psoriasis
  • Dermatitis
  • Warts
  • Herpes
